It is warm today. To beat the heat, the kids made themselves a smoothie each. They ransacked my freezer for frozen fruits. My boy picked frozen mango and pineapple while my girl chose blueberries and raspberries.

For the Yellow Smoothie

Ingredients (serves 1 )
230ml fresh milk
100g frozen mango
50g frozen pineapple

1. Add all 3 ingredients to a blender capable of crushing ice cubes. Blend on low and gradually increase speed until well blended and your icy cold smoothie is ready. Serve immediately

For the Purple Smoothie

Ingredients (serves 1)
230ml fresh milk
130g frozen blueberries
50g frozen raspberries
1-2 tablespoon maple syrup (optional)

1. Add milk, blueberries and raspberries to the blender. Blend on low and gradually increase speed until well blended. Put through a sieve if you don't like the seeds of the raspberries and blueberries.

2. Sweeten with maple syrup if you like and serve immediately.
