Overnight Oat

We love this for breakfast. It is so easy to prepare the night before and you wake up to a healthy delicious breakfast the next day. It is going to be frozen berries for us tomorrow, but you could add any of your favourite fruits and nuts. I like mine to be slightly runny, hence I normally use slightly less rolled oats then milk. If you prefer thicker consistency, use 1 cup of milk with 1 cup of rolled oats. We love it with dried fruits too.

Ingredient (serves 1-2)
1 cup fresh milk/soy milk/almond milk/yoghurt/oat milk
3/4 cup rolled oats
1 teaspoon chia seeds/ground flax seeds
some frozen blueberries and raspberries or any of your favourite fruit

Other suggested toppings
- cocoa powder/ground cinnamon
- nuts
- dried fruits

Method

1. Prepare this the night before. You will need a clean jar/bottle/container. Add the rolled oats, followed by milk.

2. Sprinkle with chia seeds and frozen berries.

3. Cover jar/bottle/container and let it sit in the fridge overnight. The rolled oats will absorb the milk and soften the next day. Drizzle with honey or maple syrup if you like before serving.

Softened oats the next day
